Having worked through the logistics of flight schedules and car rental limitations (the majority of car rental companies don’t let you take their car into some of my destinations), this is my route for Part Two of my tour – in August / September 2018.
I am travelling to the first 3 countries by plane – and then once I land in Budapest I am picking up a car and driving a circular route initially South and South-West before heading North and eventually East back to Budapest (approximately 1,500 miles), before flying back to the UK.
11 countries in total (5 EU and 6 non-EU) – 10 of which I have never previously visited.
The map above shows my route in summary – although I will expect to take in some of the Adriatic coastline at various points as I head North.
Bulgaria (EU) > Slovakia (EU) > Macedonia > Hungary (EU) > Serbia > Kosovo > Albania > Montenegro > Bosnia > Croatia (EU) > Slovenia (EU) > and back to Hungary.
